Special Presentation:
March 14 at 4 PM — Robert Stephenson
Africa: North, South, East & West, Up & Down, In & Around 1972–1973
Rob Stephenson, long-time resident of Jaffrey and now at RiverMead in Peterborough, traveled through Africa in 1972-73, starting off in London and driving to Kenya; then to Ethiopia by train and bus, again driving Nairobi to Johannesburg; hitchhiking and train to Cape Town and finally by freighter up the west coast to Senegal. There were some challenges and adventures along the way. Could the same trip be taken today and in the same manner? Who knows?
His talk will be informal and illustrated with many slides. And if there’s time there might be an excursion up the Lofa River in Liberia searching for gold!
With sincere thanks to Steve Lipofsky and collectors Louise Crooks, Brent Meyers, and Phil Gargan
for their generosity and support in bringing this exhibit to our community.
We look forward to welcoming you.
