Join Maple TreeO at the Mariposa for a Sing-a-long Concert, on June 28.

On June 28th starting at 7:00, the Mariposa Museum presents Maple TreeO, performing familiar songs that will make you want to sing.

Maple TreeO is a trio of local musicians who perform familiar music in unusual arrangements using flute, guitar, and bassoon to accompany their voices.

David Flemming, a master flutist, and his wife, Joy, who is an even better bassoonist, have been playing mostly classical music together for many years. Eric Blackmer plays guitar and comes from a more folk background.

The music they make together is drawn from across 3 centuries and many genres. It is selected for its beauty, melody, and emotion. Maple TreeO puts on a good show that will draw you in and make you smile. This program is intended as a Sing-a-long. If you love to sing then this is for you. We will supply printed lyrics. Even if you chose not to sing, please let us take you back to the good old days when we were young and the music was fabulous.

The Mariposa Museum and World Culture Center is right in the heart of Peterborough at 26 Main Street. Besides being a museum, it is a focus for local conversations, activities, and education relating to their mission which focuses on history and culture. Their upstairs space is delightful for music.

This concert is free to the public, but donations are requested. Proceeds will be split between supporting the museum and the musicians.

For information please call 603 924 4555. The program is expected to run about an hour to an hour and a quarter. We suggest arriving early as the prime seating is limited. If you sign up we will know what to expect and prepare for you.
