The Art of Torn Paper

Featuring Beverly Nunes Ramsay

June 10th - July 20th

The Mariposa Museum is proud to present The Art of Torn Paper, a captivating exhibition showcasing the impressive work of Beverly Nunes Ramsay. Through masterful layering and intricate compositions, Beverly transforms simple torn paper into stunning works of art, revealing depth, texture, and emotion in every piece.

Beverly has developed a unique form of art by tearing handmade paper to create pictures and sculptures depicting the cultural heritage of many nations. She draws on her diverse background to share the richness of these cultures through her art. Each image and sculpture are a part of every woman. Her art serves as a global message about women of various backgrounds balancing their lives.

Her extensive lectures at colleges and universities and exhibitions at galleries and art shows, have enabled others to be motivated by their surroundings, inspire others to create, and to look at paper in an innovative way to create works of art.

Join us at the Mariposa Museum in Oak Bluffs this summer to witness this extraordinary display.
