This awesomely inspiring image was created by one of my students. SHE WAS ONLY 11 YEARS OLD!! It's entitled "OUR WONDERFUL WORLD." This so very gifted young person had no money to go to an art camp or an after school art course or even buy markers. (Though I think she was ready to jump to a college level ART course or even work with a publisher to illustrate children's books, or, or…) She wanted to do ceramics passionately after the few (too) exposures to clay and all its magic in my ART class. Alas, no money… and no time in my ART classes of 500+ students a week to work with her. Our children deserve to have their creativity encouraged and responded to. She, and so many children, talented and motivated, are roaring to do more ART/create/express, etc., etc.

This is what Y.E.A.H.! my mission/vision/dream is all about. I want to make gazillions of money to fund after school ART programs… MORE ART FOR MORE KIDS.

A world without art is like.… a zebra without stripes, an ocean without salt, a couch potato with no couch, a spider without a web, a garden without flowers, a car without an engine, a moon without night time, a monkey without a tail, a portait without a person, a puzzle with no pieces, a house without windows, a school without teachers, a witch with no broom, a ruler with no numbers, a shower without water, music without instruments, tape that won't stick, an astronaut without a spaceship, a bear without his strength, winter without snow, an opera without an opera singer, a pencil without a lead, clock without time, a bank without no money, an animal without life, a plane without flight, a school without recess, nature without animals, a tree without leaves, a night with no stars, a stereo with no speakers, a cat without a tail, a book with no words or pictures, tv without news and cartoons, a bird without wings, a rose with no bud, a sun with no fire, a person with no life, a frog with no "ribbit", a mailbox with no mailman, Mona Lisa and rainbows with no color, a star that doesn't shine, a world without people, an artist without a paintbrush, and a dream catcher with no dreams…

Concepts and images were created by Winchester Elementary School students, Winchester, NH, under the direction of Linda Wyman.

When children are raised with respect and curiosity towards
other cultures, the world will know more peace and less war.
