Africa Europe Southeast Asia Latin America  The Mediterranean  Natives of the Americas
Oceania  Peoples of the North  Japan India, Tibet, Nepal Vietnam
Every artifact tells a story of the people who made it and the people who used it. Mariposa now has 'case cards' thanks to the work of intern Mary Kate Long. You will find these on each case that displays our permanent collection. You can also view them here by clicking on the region of the world you'd like to visit. These photos and the text will give you a taste of the amazing collection of folk art that awaits you at Mariposa!

Click on a camera image to view a specific case card.

When children are raised with respect and curiosity towards
other cultures, the world will know more peace and less war.
