The Talking Drum

  • The group of people that make the Talking Drum are called the Yoruba. They live in Nigeria. 
  • The Yoruba people used this drum to praise their King.
  •  The drum is also used to speak the language of Yoruba because the drum sounds like different words from the Yoruba language.  Talking Drum
  • To make these sounds, you put the drum under your arm and squeeze the strings. Skilled drummers normally use the drum. The Talking Drum is known for its long range in sound.
