African Baskets

Mbukushu tribe from Namibia used baskets for carrying and
storing grains, peanuts, sorghum, and different foods.
They store seeds in the closed baskets. Baskets were also used for
ornamentals and are hung on the wall when not in use.

worn or played with. The basket is used to carry things from
one place
to another on someone’s back or in their hands. The purpose of

basket patterns mostly come from animals. Traditional basket weaving
has become less common.
