The Dun-Dun is used to communicate with people. That is why it’s called the talking drum.
The Yoruba made the drum so that they don’t have to yell very far away.
Yorubas would just have to make a certain beat and everyone in the tribe would know that there was a meeting/ritual going on.
Skilled drummers mostly play it.
It’s still used by the Yoruba today.
The King had it played in front of him.
The stick is used for hitting the top of the drum.
