The Masai shield and spears are used mainly for hunting, warfare, and self-defense.

The Masai go to war with neighboring tribes, although they are usually peaceful.

They will fight back in self-defense when other tribes attack them.

The Masai make their shields out of animal hide/leather and paint.

The spears are made out of wood and metal tips with designs etched into the wood.

The tips are made of stone and metal arrowheads.
